To get started, here are some knits that I have finished (not as many as I’d have liked to finish) on my long break from blogging…
Orangina in Black…
Pattern… Orangina by Stefanie Japel
Yarn… Jaeger Sienna in Black #418
Needles… Size US 2
I am not in love with the fit of this. It is too short. I must remember to knit tops longer than I think they should be. Sometimes I don’t think I need to as I am very short waisted. Also...I just don’t like cotton. It does not bounce back.
Next up is the Dropped Stitch Lace Tank…
Pattern… Drop Stitch Lace Tank by Stefanie Japel
Yarn… Rowan Calmer in Calm #461 (4 Skeins)
Needles… Size US 4,5,6
I’m not happy with this top also. It is way too short. As I said before, I must knit my tops longer!! I would also have liked it better in a different yarn. I love the calmer...just not for this top. Oh well, You knit...you learn!
Here is my Twisted Stitch Cap…
Pattern… Twisted Stitch Cap by Meg Swansen
Yarn… Rowan Pure Wool DK in Black #004 (2 skeins)
Needles… Size US 3
Mods… I only made it shorter as I have a very small head!
I LOVE this hat. I switch between this one & my Shedir when we walk our dogs in the winter! It is soooo warm & cosy.
Next up is my Anemoi Mittens…
Pattern… Anemoi Mittens by Eunny Jang
Yarn… Rowan 4 Ply Soft in Rain Cloud #387 and Victoria #390
Needles… Size US 1
Another love of mine. These fit great, though they are a touch snug. I still love them to life! I also wear these all the time while walking my dogs. I must knit more mittens and gloves!!!
Here are the knits I am working on… Flicca…
Pattern… Flicca by Anna Bell
Yarn… Rowan Yorkshire Tweed Chunky in String #551
Needles… Size US 10
This one might take awhile.
Here is the little progress I have made on the Fitted Jacket with Embroidery that everyone asks me about…
Remember this?
I really love how it is turning out even though you need sunglasses to look at it...just kidding. It is very colorful though!
Next up is Cherry…
I started the right front a little while ago. I’m using Rowan RYC Cashcotton DK in #616. I LOVE this yarn. It feels amazing to knit with!!
Last but not Least...in order of cluesMy Goddess Mandala Mystery Shawl…
Clue 1
Clue 1 & 2
Clue 1, 2 & 3
Clue 1, 2, 3 & part of 4
A finished circular shawl body with only the edging to go.
I am almost halfway done with the edging. This is my first time knitting an edging and it is very easy. I loved learning a new technique. It is also my first circular shawl. I can’t wait to finish and block it out. Then the magic will come!!! I’m using Malabrigo Lace yarn in color Azul Profundo. This yarn is fabulous to knit with. Oh so soft!!
Well that’s it for today. Do you think it’s enough photos!!!
Have a fabulous day!!

Oh where do I start with all those gorgeous knits. It is so lovely to hear from you again, so I do hope it is a regular occurence. The tops look wonderful on you, and I too always need to knit my tops and my daughter’s longer too. I love the hat, wonderful and the mittens too. The shawl is gorgeous and the color is amazing. You have become such a wonderful knitter. I cant wait to see how Flicca and Cherry turn out.

E, your knitting is ALWAYS so inspiring. Also, if you have yarn leftover, you can always add to the bottom of the too short sweaters. You knit beautifully and you are the yardstick I measure blog knitting against. Very, very few can compare.

Wow! that’s a lot of gorgeous knitting! I really like Orangina on you, but I know what you mean about not knitting things long enough. I tend to do that myself.
Good to read ya again!

WOW, it’s a fluke that I decided to check your blog today, and what a payoff!! Great to see all the lovely things you’ve completed. I just started swatching for Flicca, but am having trouble deciding whether to go forward or not. I’d like a long jacket, but one that isn’t heavy. Can’t wait to see how yours comes along!
